Set Back, but not the end of the Dream

The Investor I had hoped to pay $50,000 has not proven to live up to all its worth. The deadline for the money was the 1st of July(wednesday) This would allow me to have the shop fitter to complete so that I could have opened for the 1st of August.

However now the shop is stalled until I can get the money. It was allot to expect for some one to pay that amount of money with in two weeks and not have a solid agreement. I also found that the person I have been dealing with is not the person who will eventually pay the money. The main problem is that I had set my self up with too much staff. However I only had myself and two others to work there and for an average day there would be two people in the shop. In the future my plan would be to build to six Staff with two people working in both sections and casuals to fill in the gaps and sick days.

However as the title says its not over yet, Just delayed! I still need to find Money. I am relentlessly resourceful, and I will look to find the money in different ways, also I really am better off with people who know me and can believe in me and what I intend to do.

So don't feel worried a delay is only a stepping stone to the eventual future. I am willing to get a small group of investors that may wish to be come private share holders.

Talk of a shop

I have been looking at this shop out side of the richmond market place as the first location of Margetsons as a shop. I would like to expand the excitement to let you know that it will be a Cafe alongside the Manchester, Linen. its 64 March street
This is from the walk way from the Centre, Notice the grassed area I am hoping to be approved for out door seating. This used to be the former Electoral Office, and temporally had David Lawrence as an outlet.
This picture is where there are two toilets and a staff sized Kitchen. The Shop is 152 squared metres and will have four businesses

This is a rough floor plan giving you an idea of that the space will be used for. Also Note the side office it will house a Tarot Reader and her business, Tucked away for privacy. The image above shows what I hope to have made for the shop. These tables have shelving so that if the Manchester proves mor popular than these tables can be stacked on another table upside down to provide display shelving

Exciting news for Towel fans

For those of you who felt my Egyptian cotton sheets and Bamboo sheets
Get ready because my supplier has told me that we now have towels.

If you haven't yet seen the sheets then you need to know why I'm so Excited. Egyptian cotton is different to normal cotton. Its cultivation in Egypt since the time of the pharaohs has given it the properties of both softer and stronger than normal cotton. Now a days Egyptian cotton has been grown around the world. However my sheets came in and I was ecstatic because they came with the Egyptian Government seal that they are in fact Egyptian cotton grown mainly in the Nile Valley where it all started.

Above are the Egyptian Cotton Jacquard Towels, they only come in Bath towel, Hand towel and face washer sizes. The colours are vibrant and the towels are just so soft and fluffy. For those of you that say they hate Egyptian cotton either it wasn't the real article or My favourite is that they are so thick they take longer to dry. I would like to point out it is better that your towels are thick fluffy and soft and take that little bit longer to dry, than towels that don't absorb and all you end up doing is not as much drying yourself as pushing the water around your body.

Bamboo Towel
Again if you haven't heard about this yet, you soon will. Bamboo is a wood like plant that when broken up turns to fine soft strands and these are now the rival to Egyptian cotton, However I feel that's a personal choice. On top of that it is more organic as Bamboo doesn't need pesticides and is a natural antibacterial which is good for those who suffer from respiratory illness such as Asthma

Like the Egyptain cotton The Bamboo will soon be out in Bath Towel, Hand Towel and Face Washer

My mum hosted the first Margetsons Party/ presentation. It went for two hours but thats because the energy in the room was so much that we couldn't just stop. This party mainly focused on Towels, Sheets and Pillows. Seven people showed and seven people bought, which is for the sales savy 100% conversion rate (an un expected result)

Below is what the display looked like at the start.

The Light blue (Aqua Mist) and pink (Opal) Bamboo Pillow cases, with Lint mitts, Microfibre cleaning products as well as microfibre Beuaty products with a glimplse of the My Tv Blanket in the back.

Above is the centre of the display showing: the full towel sets of the Driglow both in white. The Four Seasons quilt, and on top of the quilt box is the microfibre head wrap, body wrap and Gym Towel.

Eftpos Coming soon

Signed the paper work this morning and hoping to have the facilities by Monday one day late for my first Party plan but I'm sure we can do over the phone when I get it in. As you can guess by the logo Bendigo bank is who I found to do Eftpos with, They seem the most reasonable in fee amounts and the frequency of fees, some bank have annual, monthly and transaction fees, Fees for everything you do, Mine has a monthly fee a set up and a small percentage of credit sales.

Hope you like all the new quilt covers as well I have more of so many things to come but I am trying to put things up in stages

I haven't got these but they will be available soon, Let me know if you like: http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=XFlkhq9hSlU
